KC is all about trains lately, well trains and the cars from the movie Cars. This weekend we were looking into a train table for him. The run any where from $80 to $200, some are even more!! We decided to make our own. Had my wonderful handyman husband pick up some MDF board and 16" legs at Home Depot. We made the top 36"x48", knowing that his train set will grow but it's a bit big for his room. Great thing about doing it ourselves is we can unscrew the legs and cut it down, and reattach the legs if we want!! I had the fabric in my stash (we put down batting too) and use a staple gun to fasten the fabric to the MDF. We have the happiest little boy right now... and all for about $40.
