KC's had a yucky rash on his bottom. Tuesday night KC came into the room late, around 1 am, sort of crying, not really, but he wouldn't stop scratching his bottom. Then he said he wanted a new pullup. I was so tried, couldn't understand why he would want a new pullup but I went and got one. Got it on, other one was dry! Tried to get back to bed, then he says he has to go to the bathroom, so we go in and sure enough he goes. While he is going I see that he had scratched his bottom raw! We have a huge fight to put the pullup back on, he just doesn't want it. I gave up and tried to lay down a towel for him to sleep on, he didn't like that at all!. Got rid of the towel and he crashed so fast. I laid there and worried all night that he would pee in the bed!
Wednesday morning he came down and I got him to go potty right away and then we fought over the pullup again, so I let him free ball it until we got Aubrey dressed for school. Told KC we had to put on some underwear before we got on his shorts, he jumped right in them! It hits me that this is an opportunity to get out of pullups for good?!? We took Aubrey to school, then headed to Gran's. Didn't want to do errands with KC in unders!! He was 1 for 1 at Gran's, good thing he was in the kitchen when he peed! Then he had his class at the Poulsbo Rec Center, which went fine, he's more comfortable and more aggressive in his play with the other kids, which are all smaller and younger - steam roll one little boy, I felt so bad! All the other mom's just say, "Wow, he has so much energy." Doesn't help that KC acts like a wild monkey!! Gran picked up Aubrey from school, her last day of 1st grade!! She got out at 12:15 and KC's class got over at noon so had Mom up there waiting for her. We were to all meet at the Grub Hut for lunch, Aubrey's choice - her special treat. KC and I were leaving class and he totally ended up having a huge melt down. Took 15 minutes to get him in his car seat and calmed down - it was horrible!! KC went potty at the restaurant, we ate then headed home where he peed all over accept in the potty! He asked for a pullup for bed.
Yesterday morning he got up with a dry pullup so I got him to pee on the potty. To make this long story a bit shorter, we went thought lots of unders yesterday! In the afternoon KC stared to get mad every time I asked him to go to the bathroom so I got the idea to have him pee out side, that worked great! Then I was helping Aubrey with something, KC comes in and says, "I got outside!"
I said OK, he said, "NO I got outside!"
I asked it he want potty and he said, "Yes, I poop".
I said, "No you mean pee, right?" "Yes, I go pee".
We are running through the house and outside while this is being talked about. I had him show me where. We get out there and he says, "I go poop!" Sure enough, there was poop on the bricks! Aubrey started to freak out, I got that turned around and we did the happy dance for KC. Got that cleaned up cam in to call Gran to share the news with her, she wasn't answering, so I called my friend Leanne. While talking to her, KC comes in and says, "Mom, come here... I go outside!!" As I am following him outside I am saying something about how crazy this whole thing is, Leanne's daughter, Lacey is in the back ground giggling and saying, "from diaper to deck..." I am laughing and commenting about how that is fine as long as it's in the toilet by September. Go out to the deck and he had pooped again! Told Leanne that I needed a pooper scooper! Got off the phone, got that cleaned up. Come inside and Aubrey starts yelling, "He is pooping again... all over the place!" Sure enough... this time KC was not happy about it nor did he want any help, he was stepping in it, it was a mess so I got it cleaned up, took him up for a tub and got Aubrey calmed down, the whole time I am working on KC and the deck - she is inside yelling how we are training KC to be a dog. Could have done with out that!!
We all recovered from that, evening went better, I found that I had not given KC anything to drink all day! Bed time went smooth, KC was really tired, he was asleep in 10 minutes! Aubrey on the other hand was still awake at 10!! UGH!! While I have been typing this, KC came down, his pull up was dry, and he didn't want to go in the potty or outside! So I asked about going up stairs, he said yes, then didn't want to go into the bathroom, asked about going in the dark and he liked that idea. While I was getting ready for that he jumped into the bath tub, I said you want to pee on your duck and he said, YES! I go in the duck!!" so away he went! He was so happy. I came down to get some cleaner, he helped me rinse out the tub... have to go out and do errands today, how do I take the bath tub with me??!!
